Drexel Woods

Drexel Woods (11/20/2016)

The leaves are almost completely off the trees in northern New Jersey, so we headed back south to central NJ this weekend to visit a few more smaller preserves, all within a five-minute car ride of each other. This was the second of three areas we visited today.

Using the map for Hike 13 in this brochure, we parked at the kiosk (roadside parking) at the southern end of Drexel Avenue and headed west into the woods, following the loop in a counter-clockwise direction. For such a small park, it's filled with beauty and variety! There are long boardwalks through swampy area, informative signs for many trees, open fields and more.

Total distance hiked was 1.3 miles in under 40 minutes.
