Admittedly, this is more a walk than a hike, but the 4-mile length and beauty of the surrounding area are enough to classify it as a hike. This was the fifth of seven
hikes we did during our five-night stay in Luray, Virginia. The weather was overcast with high probability of rain today, so instead of heading back to the slippery
trails in the mountains, we stayed in town and literally stumbled upon this wonderful 4-mile greenway in the middle of town. Nearly all of it runs parallel to the
Hawksbill Creek, where mallards and herons love to go fishing.
