This was the first of three areas we visited today in Central New Jersey, all within a 5 or 6 minute car ride from each other. This short hike was more of a
warm-up for the two that followed. There was frost on the ground and the temperature was in the upper 30s when we started. Winter is coming.
Using this map, we parked near the kiosk on Barbertown-Idell Road and headed east into the woods along a nice woods road, doing the outer lollipop before returning back to the car. Total distance hiked was 1.1 miles in just under 30 minutes.
