Maine

Maine (May 9-14, 2009)

Laura and I spent a magnificent six days in Bar Harbor, Maine in early May of 2009. We stayed at the wonderful bed & breakfast The Atlantean Inn which is by the far the best B&B in which we have ever stayed. The breakfasts were gourmet, and different every day. Absolutely spectacular. And the innkeepers, Heidi and Gary (the chef), were the friendliest we ever encountered. If you ever decide to spend time in Bar Harbor, I highly recommend staying with Heidi and Gary. We're going back during a future fall foliage season.

Most of the photos in this general Maine collection are from the Bar Harbor area. But the bulk of the photos I took in Maine were on the nine hikes that we did over the course of five days, where we walked or hiked 40 miles over often rugged terrain. Hence, many of the photos from this trip can be found in the various hike collections: The Shore Path (May 9 & 11), Pemetic Mountain (May 10), The Bubbles (May 11), Bar Island (May 11 & 12), The Beehive (May 12), Gorham Mountain (May 12), Beech Mountain (May 13), Acadia Mountain (May 13), and Ship Harbor (May 13).
