Roger's Refuge & Institute Woods
We hiked some of this area back in 2009 when we were following a hike from the book Hiking New Jersey. We returned today to visit some areas that we didn't visit at that time.

Using this detailed map, we parked at the small parking area at the viewing platform in Roger's Refuge and followed a hike which covered parts of the River's Edge Trail, the Far Trail, the Cornfield Trail, the Trolley Trail, the Middle Trail, Pipeline Trail and the Marsh Trail, all of which can be seen on this map You can see our trail here. One of the highlights was once again seeing a red fox in the wild (we saw one while hiking Greenway Meadows just last month).

Total distance hiked today was about 5.5 miles in 2 hours and 45 minutes.
