Two days ago we walked the northernmost 3.5-mile segment of the Sussex Branch rail trail from Mill Street in Branchville to Decker Road in Lafayette. Today
we returned to do another segment heading south. This time we parked at Decker road and went all the way south to the intersection with the Paulinskill
Valley Trail before heading back to the car. To elongate it a bit, we repeated a bit of various segments because it was too early for lunch. We did this
because this segment passes behind the lovely village of Lafayette, where we discovered the Millside Cafe, and their excellent lunch menu, on the way out.
So of course we decided that we were going to eat lunch here after this morning's hike. And we did, and it was wonderful!
Total distance hiked today was a bit over 6 miles in 2 hours and 20 minutes.
