Back in 2009 we hiked this beautiful preserve and in
2011 we hiked the Crystal Springs section across Pleasant Grove Road. Today
we returned to hike most of the same trails in Teetertown but also the some other trails (just west of Pleasant Grove Road) that we hadn't
hiked in the past. The first difference we noticed is that the Blue trail in Teetertown, while apparently cleared after extensive Hurricane
Sandy damage, is basically impassable from the north (at least we could not follow it). We also couldn't follow the Geology Study Trail and ended up
heading straight down to Hollow Brook Road on a very steep stretch.
We did manage to do all of the other trails. Our track can be seen here. Total distance hiked today was 6 miles in about 3.5 hours. (Click on the thumbnail to bring up a bigger image in a pop-up window)
