Woodfield Reservation

Woodfield Reservation, Princeton (5/15/2016)

This is the second of two areas we visited today in Central New Jersey, a beautiful area with well-maintained trails and wooden signs at just about every intersection.

Using this map, we parked in the northern lot on Great Road West, where there is enough room for at least six cars. We hiked just about every trail in the reservation, making a large circuit in the counter-clockwise direction. This includes the northern leg of the Scout Loop, and the northern leg of the Southern Loop, including a visit to Tent Rock (for some reason we forgot to look for Council Rock). From Tent Rock we headed south to the bodies of water in the beautiful southern section, hiking along the southern banks in the both the western and eastern direction, before heading back on the eastern leg of the Southern Loop, and southern leg of the Scout Loop back to the car.

Total distance hiked was 2.8 miles in just over 90 minutes.
