Cole Road Greenway, East

Cole Road Greenway, East (10/5/2019)

Last week we hiked the trails on the western side of Cole Road. Today we returned to hike the trails east.

Using the map on the first page of this brochure, we once again parked in the sizeable lot (the northern of the two indicated on the map) on the eastern side of Cole Road and headed into the field. Following a route too complicated to describe here, we hiked almost every trail east of the road. It should be noted that a couple of the trails noted on the map are not actually there. This includes the L-shaped White trail just east of Pleasant Run, and the Yellow trail at the Hillcrest Road trailhead. And yes, that is a kestrel on a pylon in one of the photos. And, believe it or not, that really is the cockpit of a large airplane in someone's backyard.

You can see our track here. Total distance hiked today was 6 miles in two hours and 40 minutes.
