Using the middle map on the second page of this document, we parked at the northern lot on Long Hill Road and headed east on Blue into the swamp. We made a right on Ivory and took that all the way back to Blue, making a right, continuing east. Next we turned right on Red, taking that to Blue, heading north to the parking area at the end of Woodland Road. We backtracked on Blue all the way to Yellow, making a right. At the western end of Yellow we continued straight on Blue back to the car. The only trail segment that we didn't hike today was the stretch of Blue between the eastern end of Ivory and the western end of Yellow.

What a difference three weeks makes! The swamp was filled with autumn color three weeks ago. Today it seemed more like winter, with nearly all of the leaves on the ground.
