Kayaking in the DNR

Kayaking in the Delaware & Raritan Canal (8/27/10)

Today I took the day off to go paddling up and down a 2.1 mile stretch of the DNR with my friend Andy. We launched at Amwell Road, paddled south to Blackwells Mills where we got out for a stretch, snapping photos of the Canal House, before getting back in and paddling back north to Amwell Road. It was a perfect day, with winds about 5 MPH and temperatures in the low 80s when we finished. Overly-cautious of getting my more expensive camera wet I ended up using Laura's smaller, less expensive camera (yes, with her permission). The canal is so beautiful from the water that even a pinhole camera would get great results.
