Windbeam Mountain

Windbeam Mountain, Highlands Trail (10/9/2021)

The last time we hiked Windbeam Mountain was almost exactly seven years ago. And we had previously hiked it back in 2013 and 2007. It's spectacular views keep bringing us back. So, this morning we headed out and were surprised to find some early fall foliage. Temperatures are about 15 degrees higher than usual, but the leaves are beginning to change.

We parked in the large lot for the Stonetown Recreation Complex, crossed the road to the Stonetown Circular trail, climbed first Little Windbeam, and then continued on the Highlands trail to several of the views on Windbeam, in nearly all directions, before turning back and retracing our steps.

Total distance hiked today was nearly 3 miles in a bit less than 2.5 hours.
