Oregon - Day 1 (7/11/2007)
We arrived at Portland International Airpot (PDX) about an hour late. After grabbing a quick lunch at the Rose City Café at PDX, fetching our bags and
then waiting nearly an hour for our Hertz rental car, we were on the road for our hotel, the
Best Western Columbia River Inn in Cascade Locks. Driving east down I-84, however, we
spotted an exit for the Vista House on the Historic Columbia River Highway. We took the exit, and began admiring the amazing sites of the Columbia
Gorge from on high. For dinner we drove to Hood River and had veggie pizza and salads at Pizzicato Gourmet Pizza.
