Oregon - Day 6 (7/16/2007)
After breakfast at the Wolf Creek Inn, we headed northeast to Crater Lake. On the
way, we did a terrific hike at
Upper Table Rocks just outside of Medford. Lunch consisted of snacks along the
trail. Afterwards we continued our NE drive, arriving at the
Union Creek Resort
(the word resort should really be in quotes) in the Rogue River National Forest,
where we stayed in Cabin 15 for the
next two nights. After checking into our hotel we drove 20+ miles to Crater Lake.
We hiked the Watchman Peak hike, which climbed to a fire look-out cabin over the
lake. Dinner was an Italian buffet at
Annie Creek Restaurant just outside the park.
