Teetertown Preserve

Teetertown Preserve (12/16/2019)

We have hiked this rugged reserve twice in the past. We returned today to hike most of the blazed trails, but to also do some of the unblazed trails to the southwest.

Using this map, we parked in the large lot on Pleasant Grove Road north of the pond. We headed south on Pond Trail, continued west to the other parking area south of the private residence, then south to the restricted area, doing a square of the field south, before heading east on Orchard Trail. Reaching Blue, we took that south to Teetertown Road, which we took north to Hollow Brook Road. Like last time, we had trouble staying on the Geology Study Trail, so we bushwhacked straight up, finding White. This we took north to Red, which we took all the way north, then south along the edge of the Activity Field. Passing many of the campsites, we headed back northwest along the field eventually returning to the car.

Total distance hiked today was 4.4 miles in just under 2.5 hours.
