Two Brooks Trail

Two Brooks Trail, Newark Watershed (8/21/2020)

Today we returned to the Newark Watershed to use our $14 hiking permit for the thirteenth hike in a row this year, bringing the cost per hike down to nearly $1. We redid almost the exact hike we did way back in February of 2012.

We parked in parking area P4, and took the very beautiful Two Brooks Trail, one of the loveliest in the Watershed, all the way to the Fire Tower West trail. We next continued climbing on the blue connector trail, reaching the Fire Tower Ridge trail, which we took all the way to the fire tower. Then, we headed back to the Fire Tower West trail and instead of taking it north to Stephens Road, like we did in 2012, we simply headed back south to the car, retracing out steps along the Two Brooks Trail.

Total distance hiked today was 3.8 miles in 3 hours.
